Wales to weigh up fly-half bench options ahead of Uruguay clash

Warren Gatland states Wales willweigh their options up when it has to do with their fly-half cover for their final Pool D clash on Sunday.
Wales, that have secured a place at the quarter-finals, will be without Dan Biggar when they play Uruguay on Sunday after he was ruled out because of an accidental conflict with Liam Williams contrary to Fiji.
He [Dan Biggar] didnt do an HIA (Head Injury Assessment), said Gatland. It was only because of the contact he was removed from the area.
It means that hes not accountable for Sunday and he will have to experience the protocols. Well likely have someone to take a look at him too.
Rhys Patchell substituted Biggar in Oita Stadium on Wednesday and should start against Uruguay.
It leaves Gatland having a decision to create over who behaves as bench-cover for the position.
Its whether we go for a few players backing up, particularly a couple of the springs, the head coach said.
We might go for a 6-2 [six forward, two backs] split. We have got some nineswe might take a look at that. Hadleigh Parkes has been talked around and Liam Williams.
We have been operating Hallam Amos plenty of 10 in practice and hes looked pretty sharp there also. We will only weigh those options up as to that we believe can do a great job for us.
Fijis physicality in Oita Stadium impacted upon their competitors, together with Gatland admitting there weresome sore bodies from the Wales dressing area.
Look there is a couple of dead legs together with Josh Adams and Jonathan Davies has a bit of a hit his knee Gatland said, but added that the prognosis for both is favorable.
Obviously with Dan Biggar it was a removal in this area. Apart from that, guys are simply a bit sore and battered really after a tough and physical game.
Fiji surged and stored a 17-14 lead of the boot of Patchell and also attempts from Adams and Williams ensured the match for Wales.
We knew that Fiji were likely to be difficult. They have got some complete world-class athletes, additional Gatland. For us it was disappointing to concede a penalty from this start of the match, they scored off.
Gatland encouraged his side after reaching the quarter-finals to not get complacent.
Were absolutely thrilled, he explained. Everyones goal is to try and get out of your pool and if you do that then its all about taking one game at a time.
But I do just want to worry that we cant begin considering quarter-finals. We have got a project although I know that were in the quarter-finals.
For the gamers on Sunday, its to stick up their hands and stake a claim for a quarter-final berth or maybe potentially for later within this tournament.
