Craig Levein backed by Hearts owner Ann Budge despite poor start

Hearts owner Ann Budge states that the club’s board has given director Craig Levein their backing .
Hearts sit bottom of this Premiership having picked up 2 points from their opening five games of this year.
Enthusiast protests followed closely last weekend’s 3-2 home defeat to Motherwell with some supporters for Levein’s sacking calling, outside Tynecastle.
Budge published a lengthy statement on the club’s site criticising“unfair“ policy of Levein and blowing claims which the club are lining up a replacement.
„[…] In short, our Board remains behind the supervisor, his coaching staff and his staff,“ Budge said.
„Not since he is’untouchable‘, not since he’s’all-powerful‘, rather than because we’re’weak‘, as was suggested.
„We stay supporting him because we believe in the design we have jointly put together.
„What we don’t do is overreact, throw all our plans out of the window and start again!
„[…] I would simply point out , contrary to other managers, who might get called in front of the board if/when things are going wrong, Craig must present to the full board at every board meeting on how things are going against [the] plan across every area of the football operation, including highlighting topics and discussing courses of action.“
