Katarina Johnson-Thompson focussed on Olympic year ahead

World heptathlon champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson says that she will have off prior to making the year ahead her focus.
Johnson-Thompson put a new record to win gold beating at Olympic and defending winner Nafissatou Thiam.
Her points total of 6,981 was the sixth-highest complete in History and surpassed the 6,955 set by Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill in the London Olympics.
She told Sky Sports reporter Geraint Hughes that her plan is to have a break before turning her attention on the Olympic Games in Tokyo summer.
It is definitely necessary to take off time, its been a very long season. Idid an indoor air also andve been competing since January.
Its October so I will most likely have about a month off and try and wind down and unwind. Normally Ive got just a little bit longer but since its year we must get back into it.
Tokyo will probably be her third Olympic Games having completed 13th in London 2012 and sixth at Rio four years after.
That disappointment had accompanied a World Championship in Beijing where she failed to register a mark in the long jump and ended the contest in place, adventures she states that helped her reach Gold in Doha.
They are experiences that have helped me reach the point and help me make the adjustments required to do at this level. Its my trip.
The World Champion also narrowly missed out on the point mark inside the Khalifa Stadium but she says it is no longer an obsession and will only concentrate on winning medals.
It has been my dream for quite a while, 7000 points. I have been vocal about this when I was younger because I used to go on an app where you could type in most of the performances and see what score could come out and that I was always just put in combinations of different score to try and receive 7000.
Ive thrown out of the window and I am only trying to perform when I am out there and it seems to be a formula that is working for me
