Atlanta Braves at Colorado Rockies MLB Pick – August 26th

Once we took a shot on another outright currency Line when we backed the Boston Red Sox against the San Diego Padres underdog we hit a small bump in the road last night. The match was a competitive one, and starting pitcher lasted long. The sixth inning turned around to both bullpens this game, along with the’pens did an great job of closing down the lineup.
Both teams struggled to hit the ball, along with the Padres three-run first inning was enough to hang onto the triumph, finally taking the match. What can you do, even when you are as sexy as we have been in the last two weeks, winning north of 80% of our bets, you’re going to eliminate a match here and there. We will not let it bother us too much though as for the pick of today we’ll head to the Rocky Mountains where the Colorado Rockies host the Atlanta Braves.
As they swing from Colorado to get a fast makeup game using the Rockies the Atlanta Braves are trying to stay hot tonight. This game will finish out the season set for Braves and the Rockies that started in April and has been rained out. The Braves are going to have a really turnaround since they played in new york from the Mets yesterday.
But seemingly nothing can slow this Braves team down right now as they’ve won eight straight games, including back to back sweeps over the Mets and Marlins. Atlanta has yet to drop a string here and they have done a terrific job of beating teams as they have show wins over the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Minnesota Twins. Together with the makeup game jammed in here, the Braves are in the midst of a grueling games in twenty five days stretch.
For the Rockies, their period has turned into disappointment. They came into the year looking to compete with the Dodgers for the NL West Division crowninsteadthey are in last position, a whopping twenty-seven and a half matches of LA.. And things are getting worse as the year winds down to the Rockies that includes the heels of losing eight and as they have lost six out of their last seven matches.
Beginning for the Braves is currently Julio Teheran (8-8 3.53 ERA), also for the Rockies it’s Tim Melville (1-0 1.29 ERA). The game total over-under is placed at thirteen runs. The Braves are -143 street favorites. First pitch is scheduled for 12:10 PM PST from Coors Field in Colorado.
Julio Teheran has been very great. In July he had a 1.48 ERA in six starts, and the Braves went 5-1. At his other three starts he has been stellar, although In August , he had one outing from a Mets team that is red-hot. He pitched seven shutout innings. Two starts before that, he lasted allowing only one earned run the two matches were won by the Braves.
Teheran has done a terrific job of giving his team a chance to win out, and afterwards going 3-4 in his first seven starts of the season, Atlanta includes a 14-6 record in his twenty five starts. Teheran has allowed two runs or less in eight from his last ten starts. Despite the Rockies lineup getting the huge benefit of playing with their home games they’ve been swinging a bat as of late since they are fifteenth from the majors in runs scored in August.
Tim Melville will be the sort of man when the entire year has lost all trust, you start. This guy has pitched only seven games in his profession. The Rockies found him playing in the Atlantic League earlier this year and using their turning in tatters and their time over, have decided to give the twenty-nine-year-old a shot to pitch the rest of the way out. No great team would allow a man like Melville to pitch innings.
Normally I would be reluctant to back a group that’s been forced to perform this many successive games and this much travel. But I am reminded that the oldest man on this team is like year-old and that this group of youngsters won’t have any difficulty staying motivated or energized. I have a feeling they are going to love hitting in the rarefied atmosphere of Coors Field, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see them struck runs using a man like Melville.
From the Braves two matches this year at Coors Fieldthey scored a joint fifteen runs. I expect a level of tonight. And together with Teheran pitching so well right now, I see this game turned into a blowout. Clearly, the Braves would be the side to rear. And also the -143 number isn’t a poor one, and I do see value in choosing the Braves at that price.
Nevertheless, as soon as I take a look at the price line, it seems to provide value. As that run and a half , can be challenging to pay for, I’m always very careful of run line bets. But the run point is tailor-made for most situations similar to this . Where you’ve got one group that can’t shed right now and can be currently leading their division. And yet another group, that is out and can’t find ways to win.
The game total for this one is a sky-high thirteen runs, also that I really don’t find the Rockies scoring of those runs. I see today Atlanta winning, and winning large in Colorado. Should you want my opinion feels like a 9-2 score. So, I will take just a bit of a bet and put that streak along with a half and pursue tonight to the larger payout. Give me that the Atlanta Braves on the run line at -107 today from Coors Field!
