Solheim Cup: Dame Laura Davies plays down inexperience on USA team

Dame Laura Davies is confident when they take on among the USA teams in Solheim Cup 24, Europe will avoid complacency.
Juli Inkster’s bid to lead her team to a third victory has been struck by disrupted preparation, together with Stacy Lewis being made to pull out due to a back injury with Ally McDonald stepping to the fold to become the sixth rookie from the line-up.
Davies insists that the European group will be focused on their games instead of being distracted by events in the opposition club area, although angel Yin has been not able to practice entirely because her collection of clubs were arriving at Gleneagles.
„It’s been an eventful beginning to Solheim Cup week,“ Davies told Sky Sports. „Normally on a Monday and Tuesday it’s about getting a feel for the place, wanting to relax as much as you can, and getting some fantastic practice.
„But with missing clubs for Jodi Ewart Shadoff along with Angel Yin, along with the USA being forced to make a late change to their team, there’s been a lot more going on. Because she is a significant part of the team is a pity for the Americans.
„But, Ally McDonald has played this year also, if anything, she could actually be enjoying a bit greater than Stacy. Ally might be another newcomer, but she’ll be all set for the challenge and won’t shy away from it. It does rob Juli Inkster of a seasoned participant, but Stacy is remaining with the staff in order that they can utilise her expertise in the team area.
„Team USA currently have six rookies in their line-up, and only three have played with a Solheim Cup outside the united states, but we certainly will not be getting complacent while we look at the inexperience in their group. Juli has a very solid team with players that are firmly established on the LPGA Tour, and it is a tough qualifying procedure where you have to play good, consistent golf over the best aspect of 2 decades.“
Davies, who is enjoying her first experience of believes the 2 teams are evenly matched and has called a close competition, although europe stay 13/8 outsiders using Sky Bet before this edition of the championship.
„The bookies currently have us since the outsiders with the Americans chances on to triumph, but with what I have observed from our staff both on and off the program, it’s even cash in my novel,“ added Davies, that remains the highest points scorer in the contest’s history with 25 points from her 12 appearances – yet another album.
„Obviously we’re hoping to get a win, however I have a feeling it’s going to be quite near as it comes to the crunch on Sunday afternoon. We need to feed the air and the home service and carry that.
„There will certainly be a terrific atmosphere around the first tee, where our players will feel the burden of anticipation while the US team may feel somewhat intimidated. But I’d rather be in your home team. Four of Europe’s five Solheim Cup wins are in the home, along with a lot of this achievement is down to our“13th player“ beyond the ropes.
„Experienced or notevery single player will truly feel the nerves on this very first tee. It had been something that I endured from, and I will admit that if I had been enjoying foursomes, I was absolutely happy for my spouse to hit on the very first tee “
