It is tough to understand what to make of Chelsea so far this year. I was of the opinion this task came around a bit early for Frank Lampard, and it has to be stated the indications are promising even though there are clear frailties within his side.
Put they score a lot and concede a whole lot — which surely makes them an interesting proposition for the impartial. Unbeaten now in four matches, Lampard sets his sights where that a Valencia facet is welcomed by them in disarray.
The giants are not the exact ensemble who headed Manchester United all sorts of problems in last year’s competition. So far in La Liga, Los Ches have lost both of the away games against Celta Vigo and Barcelona–the latter being a 5-2 beating –along with the sacking of this Marcelino has caused a terrific deal of unrest.
Despite conceding six in their last two (and neglecting to acquire their opening couple of home matches this season), I’m backing Chelsea to acquire. Valencia look there for the taking after their issues on and off the pitch, and also I’ve been impressed with Chelsea output season, especially considering their relative inexperience. Credit for this goes to Lampard. ??
It’ll be interesting to see whether Lampard opts for the in-form Tammy Abraham upfront or instead chooses the savvy, seasoned Olivier Giroud; whatever approach he can take, however, the mood across the Chelsea camp is Much More positive than what Valencia are moving through, and this could play a Critical role in determining Tuesday’s victor. ????
