Angels Breath impresses on chasing debut at Ascot

Angels Breath Seems to have a future after Creating a debut over fences at the Sky Sports Racing Novices Chase at Ascot.

The Nicky Henderson-trained five-year-old created it two wins from as many visits to the Berkshire trail after adding to his Grade 2 triumph over hurdles on his very first start under rules 12 months back with a success.
Tracking pacesetter First Flow for a lot of the race, the nicely supported 5-4 favorite moved to the direct jumping the second last before exercising an impressive winner.
Henderson stated:He was slick wasnt that, as he isnt the biggest. The amusing thing is that he gave us the impression last year he desired earth that is good.
Nico (De Boinville) said he couldnt believe it the way he went down into the soft ground as we dont do soft ground at home and that he absolutely loved it.
It was a suitable gallop and Birchdale (stablemate) couldnt go with them. I didnt believe they would outpace Birchdale similar to this but theyve gone a pace taking into consideration the ground.
Hes had a solid blow and he will come on a reasonable bit for it. He has been great in the home. The one lovely thing about that race would be you are skipping six fences up hill and theyre lovely fences to begin with to get a novice.
Assessing future goals for Angels Breath, that was cut to 8-1 for your JLT and 10-1 for the Arkle by Paddy Power, the Seven Barrows handler hinted he would return to the route for the Grade 2 Noel Novices Chase following month.
He added:I would be hanging around at two and half (miles) for now I would presume. That (Noel Novices Chase) is most probably the obvious one but I have not thought about pre-planning yet.
